Pegasus Global Holdings announces the signing of a cooperative research and development agreement with White Sands Missile Range

Washington, D.C. July 19, 2011 – Pegasus Global Holdings (Pegasus) announced today that it has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with White Sands Missile Range. Pegasus is proposing to develop, build and operate the first International Commercial Space Launch Facility (ICSLF) in the U.S. in cooperation with the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). Pegasus is conducting a feasibility study under the auspices of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between WSMR, Pegasus Global, LLC and affiliates and subcontractors as required. “This will be the first of such a facility built in the United States and will afford all international launch capabilities a place to come to service US customer needs,” said Bob Brumley, Managing Director of Pegasus Global Holdings. “We look forward to working with White Sands Missile Range to help design and develop the US’s first International Commercial Space Launch Facility.” It is the intent of the CRADA to conduct a feasibility study of all aspects associated with the implementation of building and operating ICSLF. Elements of the study would cover: Technical Launch processes, including existing WSMR available services, range safety, debris mitigation, logistics, fuel handling, on-site servicing facilities infrastructure, existing and required regulatory, legal, national security, export control administration, facilities administration liability, International trade/orderly marketing arrangements, HR and joint tenancy agreements.
